Chairperson, Leading Ladies of Africa
Madam Slauzy Zodwa Mogami is a dynamic and accomplished entrepreneur, business leader, and advocate for socio-economic transformation across Africa. Her journey began in Botswana, where she established a successful business in the fashion and textile industry. Her leadership potential was soon recognized through her involvement in the Junior Chamber International (JCI), which afforded her international exposure and opportunities to represent on a global stage.
Upon returning to South Africa after 1991, she continued her trailblazing path by becoming the first black President of JCI South Africa in 1998. Her interests span a wide range of sectors including fashion, agriculture, ICT, and telecommunications. She also serves on the Steering Committee of the UN RBC Women in Wealth and remains active as a JCI South Africa ambassador and senator.
Madam Slauzy is the founder of several companies, including Sanctum SA, ENQA, and Iso Technologies, and she serves on various boards in both the public and private sectors. Her latest major initiative is Leading Ladies of Africa and the World (Ladies Leading in the Front Line), where she serves as CEO. The organization promotes investment, leadership, and socio-economic development while empowering women and men in business and governance across the continent. Under her leadership, an MOU was signed with the China-Africa Industrial Forum in 2015, further cementing her role in international development.
Her passion for mentorship is evident in her extensive work with young leaders, particularly women, many of whom have risen to prominence in political, business, and corporate spaces. She has also chaired the BRICS Agribusiness South Africa Working Group for several years, contributing to policy dialogue and development in the sector.
Madam Mogami is currently launching The LLOA Foundation, scheduled for March—South Africa’s Human Rights Month. The foundation champions initiatives that address:

These efforts are united under the powerful slogan:
