Alex Eyengho

Alex Eyengho, a distinguished filmmaker and media consultant from Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, has over 26 years of active experience in the creative and media industries. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication from the Federal Polytechnic, Oko (Anambra State), an MBA from the University of Liverpool (UK), and an MSc in Media and Communication from Pan-Atlantic University, Lagos, where he is also currently pursuing a second MSc in Film Production.

Alex’s academic and professional development includes specialized training in Film Production and Scriptwriting from Deutsche Welle Akademie (Germany) and the LATC Global Audiovisual Industry Immersion Program in Los Angeles, USA, among other international certifications.

He has served in various leadership capacities within Nigeria’s film industry, including as former President of both the Association of Itsekiri Performing Artistes (AIPA) and the Association of Nollywood Core Producers (ANCOP), where he now sits on the Board of Trustees as Secretary. He was also the longest-serving Secretary-General of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Nigeria.

A trailblazer on the global stage, Alex made history on May 18, 2013, in Cannes, France, when he became the first African ever elected as Vice President of the International Federation of Film Producers Associations (FIAPF)—the global governing body for film producers, akin to FIFA in football. He was re-elected in 2015, 2017, and 2019, representing Nigeria, Nollywood, and Africa with distinction.

As a creative professional, Alex has produced, directed, and acted in numerous stage plays and films. He is also a seasoned international delegate, juror, panellist, and speaker at film festivals and industry events across the globe—including in the USA, UK, Canada, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Argentina, Morocco, South Africa, India, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, and more.
